For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isa. 9:6
The message of Christmas is that the Saviour born to the world came to rule and reign in justice. His rule means victory over sickness and death, and freedom from oppression and injustice. And He invites us as co-labourers to join Him as He does this. This past Sunday Beula gave us practical ways we can do this as she preached from the well-known scripture Matt 18:18. We can understand this scripture in a new light when reading it in the Expanded Bible:
I tell you the truth, the things [whatever] you don’t allow [forbid; bind] on earth will be the things God does not allow [forbidden/bound in heaven]. And the things [whatever] you allow [permit; loose] on earth will be the things that God allows [permitted/loosed in heaven].”
What we forbid on earth, God will forbid and whatever we permit, God permits.
What is also true is that which we do not forbid, we permit.
Beula encouraged us to rise in our authority and not permit the enemy to oppress us or others with sickness or in any other way. As Canadians we can sometimes be passive, and apathetic when we see injustice. We often allow and permit things that God is asking us to not permit. We must rise in our authority and forbid sickness, oppression and injustice. We have the authority. We must use it.
Beula prayed specifically this past Sunday for own Sergii for favour with the Ukrainian consulate regarding his paperwork which was affecting his Canadian residency. I am so happy to report that Beula's (and others’) prayers were answered this week as Sergii had a miracle and can now stay in Canada. This is justice. In their authoritative prayers, Beula and others did not permit this injustice and it was not permitted. Thank You, Lord!
