This week I was on a zoom call with other pastors. We heard testimonies about physical healings which was so encouraging. One pastor then shared that he and his wife were about to go on a mission trip with another couple. Both couples have children and were leaving their kids in their grandparents’ care; a miracle for both families because previously there had been significant estrangement and conflict in the families. He put it this way, “If one year ago, you had told us that we would be leaving our kids with their grandparents, we would have said, it would take a miracle for that to happen!” And it was the same for the other couple they were traveling with. He continued, “Our stories don’t involve healing of bodies, but healing of relationships. And that can be just as miraculous as a physical healing.”
So true. God promises in the last days that relationships would be restored. He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents; or else I will come and strike the land with total destruction. Malachi 4:6
If in your family, there are broken or dysfunctional relationships, don’t give up hope for God to restore and heal. God is reconciling all things through Christ (Eph. 1:10) and that includes families.
