I had an encouraging word from the Lord this past week, which I believe is for all of us. The Lord showed me a picture of some of what He is doing right now. I saw a large staff moving in circles across Canada: back and forth, back and forth. Stirring, stirring, stirring. Huge grey dust clouds were being formed. It looked like grey whirlwinds covering all of the provinces, with a long, tall staff moving in the midst, coming from heaven to earth. As I watched, I could feel a tremendous hunger for the presence of God being stirred up as well.
This is what I believe the Lord is saying. First, He wants us to know that He is in the midst of the grey cloud of dust and debris. We don’t need to fear the confusion and upheaval around us. He is here as our great Shepherd.
Even when I go through the darkest valley, I fear no danger, for you are with me; your rod and your staff—they comfort me. Psalm 23:4 CSB
Just as importantly, He is creating a hunger for His Presence in this nation. He is calling us to draw closer to Him. Let us respond to Him with a ‘yes’ in our hearts–yes, Lord, we need Your goodness and righteousness. We choose to trust You. May those who are seeking for answers find You. Amen.
